Seniors ... Dodgers 2018 Champion
Big games at Marine Complex Tues/Wed for International and Majors.
Teams - the playoffs are upon on us. Just a quick note that final standings and playoff seedings are determined by winning percentage, and not games behind. In the event of a tie between two teams in winning percentage at the end of the season, the result of their regular season head-to-head matchup will be the tiebreaker. If the two teams either did not play each other in the regular season or tied in their head-to-head matchup, a coin toss by the commissioner will serve as the tiebreaker.

One of the great MBLL traditions is to hold a tournament during the Memorial Day weekend. It is intended to be a fun weekend to get a few extra games in and play by some new rules. The Memorial Weekend Tournament is open to players from Cal through Seniors (age 14) and is a real novelty for many of our Cal/Coach Pitch players as it is their first experience with kid-pitch baseball. The tournament games will be played on May 26 and 27.

Mark Pavone Leadership Scholarships
Two $2,500 Scholarships, awarded at Closing Day in June 2018
Mark Pavone is a former Manhattan Little League President and long term Manhattan Beach youth sports volunteer for over a decade including coaching both Manhattan Beach softball and baseball teams. Mark loved giving back to the community and providing a positive experience for the players and teams he coached. In 2016, after a long illness, Mark passed away but his memory lives on with his family and all of those who volunteered with and played for Mark.
In recognition of Mark’s volunteer legacy, the Pavone Family is providing two $2,500 scholarships to two High School seniors (one young woman and one young man) who reflect the volunteer virtues that Mark held. The Scholarships have three main goals:

Dear Little League Parents and Volunteers,
On Thursday, May 3, USA Baseball informed youth organizations, including Little League, that effective immediately, the bat identified as the Easton Ghost X YBB18GX10 30/20 2 5/8" (or the "Easton Ghost X 30/20 5/8" at retail) has been decertified by USA Baseball and is no longer an approved bat under the USABat Standard. This applies to the 30-inch drop 10 variation of the Easton Ghost X only. Pursuant to Rule 1.10, this is now an illegal bat. At the time of this decertification notice, all other lengths and drops of the Easton Ghost X bat remain approved for play.
All parents, coaches, and umpires must check their bats and remove these bats from play if they are in possession of these bats.
Any questions regarding returns, refunds, or warranty claims for the Easton Ghost X 30/20 should be directed to Easton at email@example.com.
Please visit USABat.com/Decertified-Bats for more information.
More information on how the USABat Standard impacts Little League can be found at LittleLeague.org/BatInfo.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you all for your attention to this matter.
