MB Little League Summer 2023 Information

SUMMER BALL REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

The Manhattan Beach Little League Summer 2023 Season is the ideal opportunity for players from Tee Ball through Majors Division to sharpen their skills and build on their abilities developed during the Spring Season. Additionally, players can be evaluated during the Summer season in order to better understand what division they will be best suited to play in during Spring 2024 season.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL AGES INCREASE BY ONE YEAR WITH SPRING OVER

Baseball 2023 Summer League

Schedule: Early July until the end of August

League Ages: 5-12

Baseball Divisions: Tee Ball, Single A, Double A, Triple A, Majors

Games: 1-2 per week also playing Redondo Beach Little League teams

Practices: Typically none but Manager preference

Uniforms: Awesome Manhattan Beach Little League uniform & hat

Cost: $125

Saturday July 1st, 2023

Schedules and Locations

MB Little League Summer Baseball game schedules won't be published until after team formation. Baseball games are will be played at Marine East, Marine Center, Premier and Live Oak Fields. Some of the fun will be having the opportunity to play games against Redondo Little League and games will be there also.

Refunds

Refunds may be requested before the registration close date list above and will be subject to a $20 processing fee. No refunds will be granted once team play begins.

Manhattan Beach Residents or Kids That Are Enrolled in Manhattan Beach Schools Only. No Exceptions

Only Manhattan Beach residents or children that attend school within the Manhattan Beach district can register their child for MB Little League. If you are a resident of any other city please go to their Little League site for registration in the proper city. This includes residents of Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach.

LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL AGE CHART

PLAYER PLACEMENT
Please read the following carefully as it may affect the division your player is eligible for and placed in.

Manhattan Beach Little League will strictly be following the Little League Age Chart for all divisions of play. There will be no movement to a different age division. Do not request. We want all kids to have the best experience possible with their classmates while looking out for the safety of all involved. Parents need to agree that the placement of their child in their specific division is FINAL as well as team placement. No exceptions.

Based on entry of your child’s birthdate, the site will automatically show which division(s) are available for your child based on their Little League age.

DIVISIONS OF PLAY
Division placement is determined by a players league age and will be strictly followed for all divisions of play. The registration application will automatically offer which division(s) are available. Please click the link below to help show which are available with a brief explanation.

DIVISIONS OF PLAY & PLAYER PLACEMENT

Please note depending on where they fall more than one division of play may be available to choose from. This only applies to 6, 8 and 11 year olds as all other divisions are mandated per age. You will have to discuss with your child what they feel will offer the best fit and experience.All player placement is based on availability of spots in each division and the Little League age requirements. You will have initial option of selecting should two be available but the final allocation may change.

As an example and based on birthdates, certain 11 year olds will have the option of Triple A or Majors. Some players may be more comfortable playing as the elder of their division or some may be looking to “play up” to a higher level. You will have to discuss with your child what they feel will offer the best fit and experience though the higher division may not be available even if selected. Based on final registration numbers, divisions may fill up requiring younger players to be placed in the lower division offered. Evaluations will also be taken info account.

But note in the Majors division, it is mandated by Little League International that all 12 year olds must be in that division. Therefore, first priority will go to 12 year olds and after that, placement of select 11 year olds will be based on evaluations and the draft. There will be NO player movements after draft unless approved by the MB Little League executive board and division commissioner.
